Incoming freshmen from three campuses in the Santa Maria Joint Union High School District went “Rocketing into High School” with a summer experience that began Tuesday and ended Wednesday with a series of rocket launches.
“It’s about having fun with science and learning that it’s accessible to everyone,” said Rebecca Wingerden, a science teacher at Righetti High School. “It was a fun and engaging experience.”
