Second-round picks traded for 2022 NBA Draft

We’re using the space below to keep tabs on each NBA team’s second-round pick for 2022, continually updating it as needed throughout the year. Our list of first-round picks traded for 2022 can be found here.

We’ve listed all 30 teams here, so even if one team hasn’t traded their second round pick, it will be noted. We’ll also provide details on the protections for each negotiated pick, including what will happen to the pick in 2023 if it doesn’t change hands in 2022.

Here’s the full breakdown of the status of each 2022 second-round pick:

Atlantic

• Boston Celtics: Personal choice.
• brooklyn nets: exchanged at Pistons.
• New York Knicks: Personal choice.
• Philadelphia 76ers: exchanged at Wood wolves Where Heat.
  • Timberwolves to receive Nuggets and Sixers’ most favorable second-round pick in 2022; the Heat will receive the less favorable of the two choices. If the Heat’s first-round pick lands in the top 14, Miami would pass the less favorable of those picks to the Rockets.
• Toronto Raptors: exchanged at Warriors Where Hornets.
  • The Warriors will receive that pick if he lands between 31-54; the Hornets will get it if it falls in the 55-60 range. The Raptors’ obligation to the team that doesn’t get that pick will be extinguished after this season.

Central

• Chicago Bulls: exchanged at Spurs Where kings.
  • Spurs to receive most favorable second-round pick from Bulls and Pistons in 2022; the Kings will receive the less favorable of the two picks.
• The Cleveland Cavaliers: exchanged at pelicans Where Grizzly bears.
  • The Pelicans will receive that pick as long as the Lakers 2022 first-round pick is in the 11-30 range and is sent to the Grizzlies. If the Lakers’ first round lands in the 1-10 range, the Pelicans would keep that pick and send that Cavs second round to the Grizzly bears.
• Detroit Pistons: exchanged at Spurs Where kings.
  • Spurs to receive most favorable second-round pick from Bulls and Pistons in 2022; the Kings will receive the less favorable of the two picks.
• Indiana Pacers: exchanged at Magic.
• Milwaukee dollars: Choice lost due to free weapon jump.

South East

• Atlanta hawks: exchanged at kings (Top-55 protected).
  • If this pickax landed in its protected area, the Hawks’ obligation to the Kings would be extinguished.
• Charlotte hornets: exchanged at Knicks (Top-55 protected).
  • If that pickax landed in its protected area, the Hornets’ obligation to the Knicks would be extinguished.
• miami heat: exchanged at Pacers.
• Magic of Orlando: Personal choice.
• Wizards of Washington: exchanged at Wood wolves.

North West

• Denver Nuggets: exchanged at Wood wolves Where Heat.
  • Timberwolves to receive Nuggets and Sixers’ most favorable second-round pick in 2022; the Heat will receive the less favorable of the two choices. If the Heat’s first-round pick lands in the top 14, Miami would pass the less favorable of those picks to the Rockets.
• Minnesota Timber Wolves: Personal choice.
• Thunder of Oklahoma City: Personal choice.
• Portland Trail Blazers: Personal choice.
• Utah Jazz: exchanged at pelicans.

Peaceful

• Golden State Warriors: Personal choice.
• Los Angeles Clippers: Personal choice.
• the Los Angeles Lakers: exchanged at Spurs.
• Phoenix Suns: Personal choice.
• Kings of Sacramento: exchanged at pelicans (Top-54 protected).
  • If this pickax landed in its protected range, the kings’ obligation to pelicans would be extinguished.

South West

• The Dallas Mavericks: Personal choice.
• Houston rockets: exchanged at Riders.
• Memphis Grizzly: exchanged at Jazz.
• New Orleans Pelicans: Personal choice.
  • The Pelicans owe their 2022 first-round pick (protected among the top 14) to Charlotte. If that pick lands in its protected area, New Orleans would send its 2022 second round to the Hornets.
• San Antonio Spurs: exchanged at Riders.
