Smeltzer has a perfect prediction in the weekly pace race – Los Alamos Reporter

Ryan Smeltzer had a perfect prediction of 22:24 during the weekly rhythm run held at Pinon (Rocket Ship) Park in White Rock. Other accurate predictors were: Cara Gattiker, 12, 3 seconds apart; Ted Atkins, senior with a differential of 15 seconds; Denise Robertson records a difference of 16 seconds; and Jacky Atkins 24 seconds behind.

On the 1 mile course, William Strother, 13, was the top finisher with a time of 9:55 and Morgan Treat, 11, was the first woman at 10:30.

Paul Geimer was the top finisher in the 3-mile distance clocking a time of 18:06 and 14-year-old Savannah Strother was the top female with a time of 21:39.

Next week’s race will be on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. at East Park on East Road (State Route #502) next to the animal shelter. 1 and 3 mile paved courses will be available.

he Atomic City Road Runners Club is a family-friendly walking and running club that meets every Tuesday from April through October for a pace run in which members predict their own times. Anyone can choose to walk or run a mile or three miles, and the slowest walker can be the winner if their finish time is closest to their expected time.
