SpaceX Falcon 9 CRS-26 ROCKET LAUNCH

ASSIGNMENT:

A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket will send a Dragon spacecraft with new scientific investigations, supplies and equipment for the crew of the International Space Station (ISS). One of the payloads on board the cargo flight is the Lunar microscope an in-flight medical diagnostic kit that includes a hand-held portable microscope and a small self-contained blood sample staining device. This will allow astronauts to collect and stain a blood sample, obtain images under a microscope, and transmit images to the ground, where flight surgeons will use them to diagnose illnesses and prescribe treatments.

SpaceX’s Dragon will also deliver new Science surveys, supplies and equipment for the international crew, including the next set of International Space Station Deployment Solar Panels (iROSA). He will also wear a study which will grow dwarf tomatoes as part of efforts to create a system for the continuous production of fresh food in space, and a experience which is testing an on-demand method to create specific amounts of key nutrients.

The Falcon 9 first stage booster will land on a drone in the Atlantic Ocean. The flight is SpaceX’s 26th mission conducted under a commercial resupply services contract with NASA.
