Weather conditions 70% favorable for SpaceX rocket launch at Cape Canaveral on Tuesday
The launch is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET
BREVARD COUNTY, FL – SpaceX has scheduled a Falcon 9 rocket launch for Tuesday, August 9 from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
The launch is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.
The 45th Weather Squadron says the latest weather report shows conditions will be 70% favorable for Tuesday’s rocket launch. The biggest concern is the rule of the Cumulus cloud on Tuesday.
The mission will carry another batch of Starlink satellites.
The Falcon 9 first stage thruster will attempt to land on a drone in the Atlantic Ocean.
Falcon 9 is a reusable two-stage rocket designed and manufactured by SpaceX for the reliable and safe transport of people and payloads to Earth orbit and beyond. Falcon 9 is the world’s first orbital-class reusable rocket.
Reusability allows SpaceX to re-fly the most expensive parts of the rocket, which in turn lowers the cost of accessing space.
Launch coverage can be seen on Space Coast Daily TV.
